「DIALOGUE PARIS–TOKYO」 は、パリ出身で現在仙台を拠点に活動する美術作家TOSCANEによる、個人と環境の相互作用に関する探究を紹介します。普遍的な女性像である MONA は、彼女の髪が絵画の背景と融合することで、アイデンティティとコンテクストのあいだに存在する境界の曖昧さを体現しています。
アール・デコの影響を受けたミニマルな表現言語は、厳密な象徴性によって構築されており、TOSCANEが過去に病と向き合った経験を反映する「白い動物」という癒しの存在を軸に展開されます。保護と変容を象徴するこのモチーフは、フランスと日本のイメージ世界を結びつけます。
この異文化間の対話をより深く根付かせるために、TOSCANEは本展覧会において日本の現代アーティストたちと協働し、パリと東京を結ぶ創造的・芸術的なダイナミズムを自身の制作の核心として提示しています。
The exhibition “DIALOGUE PARIS–TOKYO” presents the research of visual artist TOSCANE, a Paris-born artist based in Sendai, exploring the reciprocal influence between the individual and their environment. MONA, a universal female figure, embodies this permeability between identity and context through the fusion of her hair with the pictorial background.
Her minimalist visual language, influenced by Art Deco and shaped by a rigorous symbolism, is structured around the WHITE ANIMAL, a healing figure that echoes TOSCANE’s past struggle with illness. As a symbol of protection and transformation, it bridges French and Japanese imaginaries.
Seeking to fully anchor this intercultural dialogue, TOSCANE has invited contemporary Japanese artists to participate in this exhibition, affirming the creative and artistic dynamic between Paris and Tokyo at the core of her practice.
L’exposition « DIALOGUE PARIS–TOKYO » présente la recherche de l’artiste plasticienne TOSCANE, parisienne installée à Sendai, sur l’influence réciproque entre l’individu et son environnement. MONA, figure féminine universelle, incarne cette porosité entre identité et contexte par la fusion de sa chevelure avec le fond pictural.
Son langage minimaliste aux influences Art déco, nourri d’un symbolisme exigeant, est structuré par l’ANIMAL BLANC guérisseur, faisant écho au combat passé de TOSCANE contre la maladie. Porteur de protection et de transformation, il relie les imaginaires français et japonais.
Souhaitant ancrer pleinement ce dialogue interculturel, TOSCANE s’entoure pour cette exposition d’artistes japonais contemporains, affirmant ainsi la dynamique créative artistique entre Paris et Tokyo au cœur de sa démarche.
